Everyday Ethics Initial Research Report
TargetedBrains’s new study, the Everyday Ethics Initial Research Report, sheds light on:
- the day-to-day interactions between those commissioning and procuring services
- those providing services
- those subject to these kinds of engagements.
The Everyday Ethics study provides brand new insights on:
- how frequently and severely everyday ethics are experienced in the evaluation profession (which turns out to be much more than anticipated)
- how comfortable stakeholders are in managing those issues (not very)
- two new resources for the public sector to use in managing everyday ethics issues into the future.
While the research is centred around the evaluation profession, the findings and resources are analogous to a range of public sector contexts involving professional services, including audits, reviews and more.
The Everyday Ethics Initial Research Report was released on the 19th September 2025 at the Australian Evaluation Society’s International Evaluation Conference.
